How do you want your child to remember you?

Some of the best memories I had as a kid were those of connecting and spending quality time with my family. Waking up Saturday mornings to the smell of my mom cooking weenies con huevos, or going to the neighborhood park with mi papa to run off some energy and play on the jungle gym.

Those are the types of memories that we can all hold onto now as adults. Those are the memories that your child will hold onto for the rest of their life. Yes, just like any family we weren’t perfect, para nada, but I know my parents tried their best to raise their children in a safe, loving, and caring home.

What memories will you make with your child? Will you stop letting feelings like, anger and frustration, get in the way of a safe, and peaceful home?

Hey there! I’m Jocelyn.

Working with children and parents for over 5 years as a family therapist, I’ve had several parents come into my office asking “I don’t understand why my child won’t talk to me?” or “What am I doing wrong? I don’t know where to start fixing it!”

In my experience as a therapist and coach, I have learned that all of these parents have a deep desire to connect and be a safe space for their children, but they have one thing standing in their way: themselves.

So, I created Raíz Parenting! With the intention and mission of supporting parents, like you, with the tools to become their child’s safest emotional space (aka their best ally/best friend), and learning how to show up more confidently and securely in their parent-child relationship.

STAY CONNECTED!
